Clinic Locations: Ashburn, Fairfax

Where did you grow up?
California until age 9, then Connecticut.
Why did you become a doctor and why did you choose your specialty?
I went into healthcare because I’ve always had a passion for helping others. I was initially drawn to orthopaedics because of my love for sports and sports medicine. Through my years of experience, I've learned that I also have a passion for working with the pediatric population to help children and families with various pediatric orthopedic conditions.
How long have you practiced in the Washington, DC area and what do you like most about it?
I have been practicing in the field of orthopedics since 2015. My favorite part of living in the Washington, DC metro area is the diversity of our population and proximity to the city, mountains, and the ocean.
What do you most enjoy doing outside of your clinical practice, when you’re not working?
My family and I enjoy being active and spending as much time outside as possible. We are always traveling to new places to learn and explore.
Do you volunteer? If so, where?
Yes, I have been a head coach for Special Olympics Track and Field since Spring 2015.
Describe your proudest accomplishment as a provider and/or in your personal life:
I was a Division I college track and field athlete at Marquette University and I still hold the university javelin record. I have also been inducted into my high school's hall of fame for my soccer, basketball, and track accomplishments.
If you weren’t a doctor, what profession would you most likely be doing and why?
I would have chosen to become an engineer. I loved physics and learning how things work.
