I love healthcare and diabetes, as well as all the educational needs associated with them.
How long have you practiced in the Washington, DC area and what do you like most about it?
30 years. The diversity and resources available are great.
What do you most enjoy doing outside of your clinical practice, when you’re not working?
Traveling, gardening, being active (biking, tennis, boating, golf, hiking), photography. I also enjoy spending time with friends and family.
Do you volunteer? If so, where?
I spent the last 2 years providing care in southwest Virginia Remote Area Medical (RAM) American Association of Diabetes Educators. Also the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
